These instructions are for setting up two-factor authentication on your Sekur Account. Each time you log into Sekur, you will encounter the following screen. Your authenticator app will display a one-time code for you to use.

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is an extra layer of security that helps protect your account from unauthorized access. With 2FA enabled, you will be required to enter a one-time password in addition to your regular password when logging in. This adds an extra layer of protection to your account, making it more difficult for hackers to gain access.

How to Enable Sekur Two-Factor Authentication(2FA)

To enable 2FA, follow these simple steps:

  1. Login to your Dashboard (www.sekur.com, Click LOGIN)

    1. Click Settings

    2. Profile

    3. Two-Factor Authentication

It is important to note that you will need to use the 2FA app every time you log into your account from a new device or browser. This adds an extra layer of security to your account and helps keep your information safe.

If you do not have access to your 2FA app, you can also use backup codes provided during the initial setup process. These codes can be used in place of the one-time password generated by the app.

Please Take Note: You are solely responsible for storing these codes. If you are unable to access your 2FA app, your account will be permanently inaccessible. The Sekur support team cannot be held responsible and will not be able to access your account if you lose access to your authentication app.

2. Here's a sample of apps that you can use.

Note: Sekur does not officially support any 2FA Authentication apps. The decision to use one is entirely up to the user.

3. After you scan the QR code, a random number will be generated. Enter this number as your "One-time password" and then "Sign In"

Congratulations, you have successfully enabled 2FA for your account! Your account is now more secure and protected from unauthorized access.

If you have any further questions or concerns about 2FA, please don't hesitate to reach out to our customer support team for assistance.

How to Disable Two-Factor Authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is an extra layer of security that requires users to enter a one-time password in addition to their regular password when logging into an account. While this can provide added protection against unauthorized access, there may be times when you want to disable 2FA. In this article, we will explain how to disable 2FA and the implications of doing so.

How to Disable Sekur 2FA:

Follow these steps to disable 2FA:

  1. Login to your Sekur Dashboard

  2. Profile > Two Factor Authentication

  3. See the below image, and click on "Disable 2FA"

Once 2FA is disabled, you will no longer need to enter a one-time password when logging into your account.

Implications of Disabling 2FA

It is important to understand the implications of disabling 2FA. Without this extra layer of security, your account may be more vulnerable to unauthorized access. It is recommended to only disable 2FA if you are confident in the security of your account and have alternative security measures in place.

If you do decide to disable 2FA, it is important to regularly monitor your account for any suspicious activity and to update your password frequently.
